Should I Bring My Staff to the BPFA Retreat?

With this year’s brand new structure for our annual gathering, we’ve had a common question come up a few times: Should I bring my staff to the BPFA Retreat?

The short answer is: Yes!

Based on nearly a decade of Summit experience and feedback from past attendees, we’ve restructured our annual meeting to focus on connection, collaboration, and action. Instead of a lecture- and movement-based event, this year’s Retreat features a series of active learning and co-working sessions designed to spark real conversation, problem-solving, and growth.

Attendees will be in one of 3 cohorts: experienced business owners, new or soon-to-be business owners, and support staff. Every topic we cover is tailored to the cohort to address the specific needs of attendees based on their unique experience and their role in their space.

Each cohort session is led by one of our Board members who specializes in that area, and each cohort will get to work with each Board member throughout the weekend. And – most importantly – every attendee gets to work with each other, because we learn and grow the most when we share our collective experiences.

Another great bonus of bringing your team is the shared experience of Retreat. It’s time away from your physical business to really focus on what makes your community tick and how to nurture it and help it thrive.

Attending as a group helps everyone get on the same page. We can help the most people when we’re all pulling together in the same direction and have a mutual understanding of values and priorities. Our experienced Board members will guide you through discussions designed to dig deep into your practice – from marketing without shame tactics to delivering an exceptional inclusive experience. We’ll look at your business from top to bottom together, as a team.

This year’s Retreat is designed to spark conversation and create meaningful connection. BPFA provides the structure, key content, and experienced support. YOU bring your own experience and context to the table. We all work together to create change.

So yes, bring your staff! And get excited for our most interactive and collaborative event yet! See you in Maine!
